Every Wednesday the truck arrives and the new release wall turns over. Fresh number ones next to the latest issue of whatever you’re reading, all landing at once.
The regulars know the drill. Their books are pulled and waiting behind the counter before the doors even open. That’s what a pull list gets you, and starting one takes a phone call.

A pull list is the oldest deal in comics. You tell the shop what you read, and a copy of every new issue gets set aside for you the day it arrives. Sellouts stop being your problem.
Call the shop or come in and list the books you never want to miss. Two titles or twenty, the file works the same.
When new comics land on Wednesday, your issues come off the truck and go straight into your file behind the counter.
Swing by weekly or let a few stack up. Your books are held with your name on them instead of gambling on what's left on the wall.
